Presentation
The Mons Maubeuge Manège is a unique cross-border scene in Europe.
The national scene offers more than a hundred shows each year, season and festivals combined, with nearly 60 spectators and 000 subscribers.
Built in 1831, the Manège is originally a former military building assigned to the garrison cavalry. In 1983, the Manège became a municipal theater and it was in 1990 that it took on the status of an association under the 1901 law and a cross-border cultural center due to its proximity to Belgium. Since 1990, the Manège has undertaken cultural outreach work throughout the Sambre and Avesnois basin, motivated by a basic structuring principle: equal opportunities for all in terms of access to culture. Since 1991, its program has been based on an eclectic season offered in partnership with the towns of Aulnoye-Aymeries, Feignies and Jeumont. Now with the city of Mons.
A rich and diverse cultural program awaits you!
